Assumptions:
This algorithm uses the concepts of calorie cutting. The human body stores energy as fat if the consumption of calories is higher than the number of calories burnt. A calorie deficit of 500 kilo-calories a day is a healthy deficit to lose weight.
1 kilogram of fat contains 9000 kilo calories.
Algorithm:
- Determine your ideal weight
- Determine your current weight
- Subtract your current weight from the perfect weight to get the mass in kilograms to lose.
- Since 1 kilogram of fat contains 9000 calories and you can lose 500 kilocalories a day, it will take you 18X days to lose weight. Here, X is the weight you want to lose which is calculated in step 3.
- Start losing weight
Demonstration:
Suppose your weight is 75 kilograms and your ideal weight is 67 kilograms. So, the amount of weight to lose is 8 kilograms. It will require you to lose 72000 kilocalories.
Maintaining a deficit of 500 kilocalories a day will require you to maintain this diet for 144 days or roughly 5 months.
There you go, now stop listening to those overpaid nutrition experts and go lose that weight.
